It's time to catch up on all the hikes we have NOT blogged about. I will also have to fake pictures as we stopped snapping. What happened hussies? As my memory isn't what it used to be, I will try to remember where we went. Anyway, there are two hikes I remember from April.
Val, Beth and Carol hiked to Marshall Mesa and the South Mesa Trail right outside Boulder. We met at the famous hippie gas station and hiked Marshall Mesa first then drove to the South Mesa Trail and had lunch. Beth brought "strawberry shortcake!!" for dessert. Then we hiked South Mesa Trail. I know it was lovely and beautiful and I know we thought we were very lucky. This is not us: but it is the trail!
The second hike was also Val, Beth, and Carol hiking in Deer Creek Canyon. For some reason I mostly remember that Val has (had) a beautiful home. Here's a description of the park.
This picture of the trail reminds me that I was almost killed by a bicyclist who was speeding UP the trail and almost ran up off the path down a rock cliff! It was a bad memory.
I also remember that the wind nearly carried us away.
A great front range hike!
